Janice Velarde

Janice Velarde joined Gateway Insurance in 2006 as an Administrative Assistant, her background as a claims examiner with Safeco Insurance Company made for her natural and quick progression into the position of a Customer Care agent.

Janice's expertise lies in managing the long term needs of her customers. She knows a quick response and follow up to a request is essential to quality customer care. She does a great job of meeting customer needs whether it's adding a car or driver to an existing policy, assisting a customer with a claim, or changing the mortgagee information on a homeowners policy after a refinance. 

Janice has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from San Francisco State University and when not at work she enjoys her time with her husband, daughter and nephew. Janice is also an active participant in the PTA at her daughter’s school in Fairfield.
